Composite, Glassfiber Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Backing Rings are a good, competitive alternative for stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and thermoplastic products.

Composite Backing Rings (Loose Flanges) by Rotec are low weight and corrosion resistant, available from DN 15 up to DN 1400.

Diameters DN 200 – DN 1400 are produced by Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM). Backing Rings from DN 15 up to DN 300 are produced by hot pressing (GRV/SMC).
The performance of Rotec Backing Rings comply with the safety standards for each particular pressure class.

Various internal diameters are available to match all types of pipe and to meet a range Stub Flange dimensions for GRP pipes (DIN 16966) as well as PE, PP and PVC pipe systems (DIN 16963). The pressure ratings are up to 16 bars.
Standard drillings are according to DIN PN 10, BS NP 10, NFE 29-222; DIN PN 16, BS NP 16 and NFE 29-223; ASA 150 and ASA 300. Other drillings can be applied on request.
